The OEMTOOLS 25090 Harmonic Balancer Puller Kit is designed remove the harmonic balancer from the engine crankshaft. If you’re servicing the harmonic balancer for the first time, you may not know if you need a puller. However, trying to work without it will not only take you longer than necessary, but can also lead to expensive complications. A puller allows the balancer to slide off or on the mounting shaft easily by rotating the central bolt. The jaws ensure even pressure around the balancer during removal, preventing crankshaft damage. Removing the balancer without a specialized puller is difficult, and you could also end up damaging nearby components, especially if you tried prying it with normal tools.
